Parents Night/Senior Night
Tuesday, October 21, 2003

A special thanks to our Reavis parents for their continued support of the Reavis Girls Volleyball Program.  We have enjoyed your presence at our matches and your involvement in our program. We look forward to another great year in 2004.

Reavis Girls Volleyball graduates three seniors at the end of the 2003 season.  D. Kyriakoulis, D. Mikos, and C. Stacy are all four year volleyball players at Reavis.

D. Kyriakoulis, a senior setter and two year varsity player, is a captain and starting setter.  Kyriakoulis averages 10 assists per game and is one of our leading defensive players.  Kyriakoulis is a self-motivator, extremely hard worker, and a true team player. She was named to the SICA North All-Conference Team as a Setter. Congratulations  to her on a great career at Reavis High School.

D. Mikos, a senior middle hitter is a captain and starter.   Mikos has been a four year varsity starter and is the team's leading offensive leader (7 kills/game) and leading blocker (3 block kills/game).   Mikos recently was named to the Bremen All Tournament Team and the Lincoln-Way All Tournament Team.  She was a member of the Great Lakes Region High Performance Team in 2003 which represented the Mid-West at the Volley Classic in St. George, Utah.   She was named to the SICA North All-Conference Team in the All-Around.  Congratulations to her  accomplishments and success and Reavis High School.

C. Stacy, a senior right side hitter, is a two year varsity player.  Stacy is currently spending time between the middle and right side positions in 2003.  Stacy is a role model for our program who incorporates sportsmanship into every practice, match, or team outing.  She was named to the Bremen All Tournament Team in 2003.  Christine was named to the SICA North All-Conference Team as a Spiker.  Congratulations to her on a great career at Reavis High School.

SICA NORTH ROUNDTABLE

The SICA North Roundtable began three years ago in an attempt to bring together coaching ideas and support of our conference volleyball programs.  The round table brings together six schools and their head coaches:  Argo - Shelly Picha, Bolingbrook - Angela Thomas, Oak Lawn - Dennis McNamara,  Reavis - Julie Schultz, Richards - Ryann Connors, and Romeoville - Sally Guilbo.  The Player Profile was developed in these meetings where each school recognizes a player at each conference match.  Programs were created by each host school that included a player profile. The profiles include a player's name, number, picture, and usually a few facts specific to her achievements.  The profiles are read at the beginning of the match and fans can learn more about these athletes successes.  This idea is unique to the SICA North and has been a great part of our conference's attempts to promote sportsmanship.
